Walnut Street Capital, developers of the proposed American Commerce Center at 18th and Arch Streets, met Tuesday with the City Planning Commission to begin the re-zoning process that will allow them to build the fourth tallest building in the country (1500 feet). The ACC as planned includes business, residential and retail space, and is being plugged as the building which will put Philadelphia on the map. (I wonder how the ACC's neighbor, current tallest-building-in-Philadelphia Comcast Center feels about that?)
Within two weeks, the developers expect that both the traffic analysis and a study on the feasibility of connecting the building with SEPTA's underground tunnels will be completed. Check out the whole story at PlanPhilly.com:
