The Closing of Kaizan

Kaizan, the 5 month old Japanese in the Academy House, has closed. This is sad news, as Kaizan had a charming and interactive omikase menu, and a decent wine list. They followed closely on the heels of previous tenatns the Smoked Joint, which lasted roughly a year. The site is hard to see from the street - does that explain it? The owners plan to reopen this fall with a new concept. Wonder what's next for Academy House...
