Philly Goes Green (Maybe)

Bike sharing may be coming to Philly. Many cities throughout the world encourage their citizens to leave the car at home by providing a bike sharing system. Usually people pay a small fee, either monthly or annually, and are entitled to borrow bicycles from stands around the city. The bikes are then returned to a stand when the rider is done. It's convenient, cheap and great for the environment. The costs will be footed by an ad agency, who in return will get the right to set up additional street furniture (bus stops and benches) around town. With programs in Miami, DC, Paris and now Rome, we really can't afford to be behind the curve. For mroe details, here's this link to the Planphlly.com article:
